What this is, and what it is not
A photograph cannot produce dimensioned, manufacturable CAD. Nothing can, at any price. A single image gives you a shape at unknown scale, and a broken part is missing the exact geometry you need most. Anyone selling you automatic photo-to-CAD is either handing you a rough mesh with CAD written on the box, or has a person doing the work quietly in the background.
So we do not claim it. What this tool does is the part a machine genuinely is good at: looking carefully at a fracture surface, recognising a component, matching service conditions to a material, and flagging what will go wrong when it prints. That is real engineering judgement delivered in thirty seconds instead of two days, and it is free because it earns us the order often enough.
The CAD itself is made by a person, from the actual part, with calipers and thread gauges. That takes two to three days and it is quoted on the pricing page like everything else. You own the result outright, STEP file included.
Your photographs are sent to Anthropic’s API to produce the assessment and are emailed to the lab with your enquiry. They are not published, not used to train anything, and not shared further. If the part is confidential, say so and we will handle it under NDA instead. See policies.
